Wisdom tooth extraction in Almaty
Wisdom teeth often erupt only partly or stay under the gum entirely (an impacted tooth). Plaque collects around them and causes inflammation, called pericoronitis. Sometimes it’s enough to trim the gum flap; sometimes the tooth needs to come out.
Removing an impacted tooth is more complex and costs more than a simple extraction, because the tooth is in the bone and needs surgical access. To assess this, the surgeon reviews an X-ray: single-tooth, panoramic, or CBCT.
