Zirconia or metal-ceramic
A metal-ceramic crown has a metal frame covered in ceramic. A zirconia crown replaces the metal frame with zirconia dioxide. Both have been used for a long time, both are in the price list, and they differ in price and appearance. Zirconia is often chosen where esthetics matter or you’d rather avoid metal, but that doesn’t mean it’s always the better choice.
